Vicky Kaushal Starring Film Chhaava is going to be released on 14th February on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Chhaava means Lion’s cub. Because of this, the film made on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son Sambhaji Maharaj is named Chhaava. This Chhaava movie is based on Shivaji Sawant’s novel. Whose name was also Chhaava.

On 22nd January,  the trailer of the Chhaava movie was launched. Which is enough to make the Mughal lover sleepless. In this trailer, the intensity is visible which can easily give goosebumps to any Hindu. The beginning of this trailer is with very powerful scenes.

Chhaava: A Glimpse into an Upcoming Historical Epic

Chhaava is the story of a king who was tortured and killed for not accepting Islam. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is the person who got his body chopped to save his religion. And this was done by Aurangzeb. That’s why I hope that history will be shown as it is. Neither more nor less. But will this film be able to do this? This can be known only after the release of the film.

Dialogues are used in a very unapologetic way. Whether it is Mahadev’s Udghosh. Or it is this dialogue of Sambhaji Maharaj. Details of the film (Chhaava) have been given attention. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was not only a fearless warrior. He was also a tactical and highly skilled military strategist. Four famous war strategies of Sambhaji Maharaj. About which a lot has been written. These were Gorilla Warfare, Smart Use of Terrain, Naval War Strategies and Fort Defense Systems. All of these have been shown very well in the trailer. The second best thing in this trailer is that Aurangzeb’s evil side has been shown very well.

Bollywood’s Fascination with Invaders: Glorification or Misrepresentation?

It is so sure that this film (Chhaava) dares to break the Mughal propaganda made by Bollywood for years. Because the way Bollywood has shown the Mughals to date is not history. It is brainwashing. Making films is their original work. But they are busy in spreading propaganda. In this, the image of the Mughals is not only whitewashed. But they tried to show them as great and brave. On the other hand, Hindu warriors or Hindu kings either completely ignore the history of their kingdoms and centuries-old kingdoms, Or they are shown in a wrong way.

In short, we say, Bollywood is the visual representation of our history books. Where only a one-sided story is shown. Bollywood has often shown the Mughals as great and great rulers. Who has contributed to the cultural and architectural richness of India? Often in cinema, the black sides of the Mughal rule are ignored. For example, forced religious conversion. Destroying the temples. Rape with Hindu women. Taxation. And looting from Hindus. The greedy Mughal sultans were shown as saints And the biggest example of this is the portrayal of Akbar in some movies

For example, you talk about the Mughal e Azam of 1960. In this film, Akbar is shown as an ideal ruler. Who loves justice. Who encourages equality. What’s the matter? The beast that killed 30,000 Hindus in one day. In the eyes of Bollywood, he is a saint He is helpless.

Talk about 2008’s Hrithik Roshan’s star, Jodha Akbar. In Ashutosh Gowariker’s film, Akbar is shown as a secular king. Who supported Hindu-Muslim unity. In this movie, a Hindu Rajput was born in Rana Veerasala’s house. Grew up here. Then how did he become a foreigner? They tried to make a soft influence. That Mughals are India’s own. Not like other invaders. And the result of this is that many Indians have this perception. That the Mughals were innocent. Akbar was great.

India’s True Heroes

Hindu rulers like Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharana Pratap, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are often ignored. Compared to the attackers, they are shown as very small characters.

For example, Padmavat. Shahid himself said that he was made to feel lesser in that film. Till now, in Bollywood, a great Hindu king like Harsh, Samudra Gupta, or Raja Raj Chol, have no big film has been made on them. And you can imagine how shameful it is that such kings who used to rule a kingdom 10 times bigger than the Mughals, there is no proper film on them.

And actually, all these kings have contributed to making India. But still, no one showed their stories on a big screen. If you look at the Mughal subjects, a film has been made on almost every subject. Like Anarkali, was made in 1953. Jahan Aara, was made in 1964. Humayun, was made in 1945. And in all these, either the glory of the Mughals has been increased, or the Mughal love stories are shown.
