Yash was born on 8 January 1986, in Karnataka. He has two names in childhood, Naveen Kumar Gowda and Yashwanth. Since his childhood, he wanted to be an actor and he wanted to quit his schooling after 10th and start his acting career, his father wanted him to become a government officer but he didn’t, and he moved to Banglore in 2003 to start his acting career and joined a theatre group where he used to work at ₹50 per day. Rocking Star Yash appeared as a fearless warrior in the film against Adheera( villain) and Ramika Sen ( PM of India in the movie). His Iconic dialogue,” Violence, violence, violence… I don’t like it. I avoid. But, violence likes me,” was legendary.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 broke several box office records, became the highest-grossing Kannada film, and Surpassed the lifetime gross of the first film in two days, the Highest-grossing Indian film of 2022, highest opening weekend gross for an Indian film: Earned ₹552 crores globally in its opening weekend, highest opening day gross for a film in Hindi, Earned ₹52 crores on its opening day.

Rocking Star Yash’s Current and Future Films
Yash is currently working on two major films, Toxic and Ramayana.
Toxic is an intense thriller film directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film is expected to be released in April 2025, yet its cast, other than Yash, has not been revealed; the film story is about a drug cartel in Goa.

He is also going to appear in the Ramayana movie in the role of Ravana and he took ₹200 crore for this role and became the highest-paid villain actor in Indian cinema history. Yash is also a co-producer of this movie.

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be released in two parts. The first part will be released on Diwali 2026, and 2nd part on Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of lord Rama. Sai Pallavi, who will play the role of Mata Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol, who will be Hanuman. The expected budget of this movie is ₹800 crore, so if this much is the budget then moviemakers will expect it to book at the box office and earn at least ₹2500 crore and break all records of the Indian film industry.
